How does PreventID® Cal Detect® 50/200 work?
PreventID® CalScreen® 50/200 is an immunochemical rapid test, screening for Calprotectin in stool. The rapid test displays semi-quantitative results, which show whether critical threshold values have been surpassed or not. As the test is designed for two different cut-offs (50 und 200µg/mg), it can be used both in diagnosing and in therapy monitoring for IBD patients.
How accurate is this test?
PreventID® Cal Detect® 50/200 uses specific antibodies which detect calprotectin. It can be used in any doctor’s office, without any additional tools, and offers quick results.
Whom was this test developed for?
PreventID Cal® Detect® 50/200 tests may only be conducted by trained health professionals. It is suitable for near patient diagnostics and therapy monitoring in cases of Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis.
How long does the test take?
15 minutes overall: 5 minutes to prepare, 10 minutes for the actual test.
